Description

Change is a state that we constantly find in nature. Whether it is transformation, evolution, regression, transmutation, sometimes even a cycle, we are all confronted with it. Change is the art of changing one’s life . We are from time to time resistant to change, because we are attached to matter. Detaching ourselves from matter allows us to be ready for change. There is, however, an important notion in the art of change. It can be of 2 kinds: transformation and transmutation. Transformation is the change of form, that is to say the “external self”. While transmutation is the art of interior change, i.e. the“inner self”. The 2 processes of change play off each other to give the “perceived self”, which must be consistent and aligned with the inner self. The desires of yesterday will perhaps be the demons of tomorrow. Don’t be afraid of change, they are part of life.

The peacock is an animal with 1001 colors that remind us of the diversity of change and what this means in our lives. Alchemy is often associated with the transformation of matter into gold, but it is much more than that. It is a discipline that seeks to understand the processes oftransformation that occur both in nature and in human beings.According to alchemists, change is a fundamental process that can be understood alchemically. It is aprocess that involves the dissolution of the old to allow the emergence of something new.

Alchemical change is therefore a complex process, which involves death, purification and rebirth. It also involves a deep understanding of nature and its processes, as well as human nature and its potential. In short, alchemical change reminds us that every moment of our life is an opportunity to transform our being and our environment, to transcend our limitations and discover our true nature. By embracing the process of transformation, we can open ourselves to new horizons and discover the richness of our inner potential.

In alchemy, change is symbolized by the“transformation”of lead into gold.We change our appearance. But the process is also called “transmutation”; because we change the state of matter. This involves many steps. The first stage of transmutation is called “nigredo”, which means “blackness”. This is the moment when matter is dissolved, broken into its constituent elements, and impurities are removed which is called slag. This stage is symbolized bydeath and disintegration. The second stage is called “albedo”,which means “whiteness”. This is the moment when matter is purified and cleansed, and when it is ready to receive new elements. This stage is symbolized byrebirth and regeneration. The third stage is called “rubedo”, which means “redness”. This is the moment whenmatter is transformed into gold, where it is raised to a higher level of perfection and purity. This stage is symbolized by transcendence and ‘illumination. The material becomes a pure crystal allowing light to pass through without filter.
